Hi, after one week we have news?

Bye :)
Thanks for the poke... I have just submitted the registration for this. It will take up to 48 hours for the registration to become visible.

Let us know what you want done with respect to DNS records and we'll get that set up as well. You can file a new bug for that when you're ready, or just re-open this one. Thanks!

Hi

Tanks You an now that we have the domain:

1- I need e-mail, i not know if we have somme service for mail or if i go to setup google apps.
2- I like an image for say: under construction, you can guive me a hosting for that (simple html) .I think test some web software in my computer before start the deploy of the site.

And 2 questions:
* Are the zone file using svn or other similar software?
* You have some like admin panel (for me) for the domain or only via bugzilla?

Tanks :)
I'm going to assign this to Arzhel, as I understand he has more experience setting up community sites.

Tentatively speaking, we do provide some hosting services (basically a virtual machine somewhere), and will host the DNS for you. I don't think there's any control panel provided. You'll be able to manage the content yourself, and DNS changes would be handled by submitting a bug to us. Arzhel can correct me if I'm wrong on this.

I believe we are currently recommending that community sites handle their own email setup, with something like Google Apps.

Hi

I'm seting the google apps, for confirmation of domain i need a TXT register:

google-site-verification=HJEN1j4qp4B4fvB39oHu6N-uxU9OCGLke8Iyl1ryFts

And the MX registers for the mail:

priority | go to:
1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
5 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
5 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
10 ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.
10 ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.

If is posible: TTL (time to live) =3600 (1 hour)

And the SPF:
To set your domain's SPF record, publish the following TXT record on the DNS resource: v=spf1 include:aspmx.googlemail.com ~all.

How can I go through Mozilla Reps for approval?
Making this private so someone doesn't steal the domain.

fredy - now that the bug is in the right component we'll see it. Looking at the facebook page and the twitter account my guess is that you haven't yet coordinated with the other community members in Quebec. You should do that before proceeding. Ping me on IRC if you need introductions, I'm happy to help.

Hi again, please help me with the MX records, my host command output:

$ host mozillaquebec.org
Host mozillaquebec.org not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)

If the problem is trust i can send you the password of google apps account via e-mail.

Hi

Now the google apps pasword is in the hands of Frédéric (ReMo)

Frédéric, please made the confirmation.
We might piggyback this on the mozillacanada.org hosting, but in terms of the request it is officially approved with FredB as the reps contact.

Hi all

I think that burocratic process (Reps, employees for can use a domain) stop the creation of the community, now my motivation is down and i not know if i can or not do someting becouse i am not a rep, i am not a employe and plus i not speak english very well, this is frustrant.
Hi

After ~2 monts the process is stoped and i like retourn to the comment 6 I like know if if mozilla can help me (not stop me like now), if not i think buy other domain like mozillaquebec.ca ...

How help me now?

I need work with the DNS admin for create one google apps for mozillaquebec.org

Thanks
What needs to be done? I got lost reading the bug comments.
Unless you have objections, we think the domain should use the existing mozillacanada.org hosting. Please ping me or email me if you still need more info.
Hi

Now the conversation is not about hosting, is about the domain and the mail creation.

About the domain i not like work with mozillacanada.org becouse Quebec have big cultural and political diferences with the rest of Canada (I spoke about this in the lonch), in this moment the situation is:

Une nation du Québec dans un Canada uni (http://www.ledevoir.com/non-classe/123442/une-nation-du-quebec-dans-un-canada-uni)

The rol of a local community is help mozilla to understand the cultural situation in this area for get involved and work with this people, the vision of lucy (put quebec down canda) is not share by 50% or more (quebecoises) of the people in Quebec, the in the other 50% are the canadians + immigrants

If the work with MozCanada is in the sense of

MozCanada
 \/
MozQuebec

Or

Employers
 \/
MozReps
 \/
Community

I stop my work about the creation of MozQc and open the oportunity for the burocratic process the other option is do it independent, out of burocratic landspace (the old way).

I'am not canadian or quebecois, im not anglo or franco i'm mozillian that initiated leading the process of creation of the community and now is down the burocratics process and I like say:

"I'm not ReMo becouse i think is burocratic and my experience for get the domain is the probe, but if any body like see my ReMo Credential i can go and get it"
After a conversation in the #canada irc channel Frédéric Bourgeon [:FredB] start a new bug for solve the prolbem (email @mozillaquebec.org) https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=788016
According to Regnard (who manages mozillacanada.org hosting), the domain DNS have to point to the IP address 216.70.92.208.

Can that be configured? and I guess we'll be all set after then (or at least I hope to).
