I ran into this problem last time I tried to use builder and was unsuccessful in logging in. Last time we found that browserID was temporarily down, but then after confirming I could log in with my email 'jmaher@mozilla.com', to another website using browserID, I was unable to log into builder.addons.mozilla.org. Again today I tried this and found that I am unable to log in. When I do, I get a toaster style alert in the page that says: BrowserID Not enabled I have two different accounts on builder and both accounts are unable to sign in.
Did you disable send HTTP referer? Add-on Builder required HTTP referer for authentication. Try enable send HTTP referer.
awesome, that worked. I had that set to 1 and changed it to 2 and it worked. BrowserID worked for me on other sites, so this is an AMO specific browserID implementation detail? If so, we need to document that so others don't get caught in a wild loop like I did.

BrowserID worked for me on other sites, so this is an AMO specific > browserID implementation detail? Yes, I beleive It is builder.addons.mozilla.org specific implementation. But to use HTTP referer in authentification is nice and usual. > If so, we need to document that so others don't get caught in a wild loop > like I did. Yes, please make documents about sign in problems. Because, I was troubled "BrowserID not enabled" before. ;-)
This is annoying. Other BrowserID-enabled sites don't require sending referer.
