In an email, Ali mentioned that we should consider using xBreadcrumbs (http://www.ajaxblender.com/script-sources/xbreadcrumbs/demo/index.html) on the MDN. Sheppy mentioned that they could be distracting, but that we could always provide a user preference for them.

Good find, interesting.

I actually do think this would be quite valuable.  We'll need to be careful about not including *every* sub-item, but the most popular of them would be great -- would add a *huge* amount of ease in navigation.

The majority of the work will be done on the server side, writing logic to pick the best docs.

This looks interesting, but we should discuss this as part as our navigability overhaul in the future. (Some of these lists are more than 100 items long...)

Yep.  I would decide on "hard coded" values though, like we do on the homepage for popular topics.  Maybe we like to 5.  Exciting addition it would be, though.
