Steps to reproduce:

In Camino version 2.1.2, moved the web page from the primary monitor to the secondary monitor. 


Actual results:

The page title disappeared, showing only an ellipsis (...).


Expected results:

The page title (or at least as much of it as could be displayed) should have remained. In addition, the window list shows only the ellipsis.

How big are the respective monitors, and how long is the page title?

Does this happen regardless of page title length?

Does this happen if you load the page on the secondary monitor in the first place? How about if you load it on the secondary monitor, then drag it back to the primary?

I checked this out this afternoon at the office, and I can't reproduce on 10.5.8 (with a pair of 1920x1200 21" displays) and a random selection of pages, including both of the testcases from bug 309874.

Richard, one other question for you: you said "In Camino version 2.1.2"; had you previously tried this with any other version of Camino?

The monitors are both 17 inch. The page titles are as short as 4 characters. It happens when the page is on the secondary monitor, whether it starts there or is shifted. If the page starts on the secondary, the title appears when the page is brought back to the primary. Sometimes I have to switch tabs, sometimes it just appears on its own.

I can's say for sure about Mac OS 10.5 now (I'm on 10.7.4), but as I recall, Camino worked fine when I was using 10.5, and also 10.6 before I upgraded to 10.7.

For all--

I noticed in looking at it more today that the title sometimes changes when I switch tabs, showing some of the characters for the title; but this does not happen all of the time.

Richard, can you quit Camino (if it's running), launch it, trigger this bug, and then look in /Applications/Utilities/Console.app to see if there are any messages displayed there by/about Camino?

If there doesn't turn out to be anything useful there, we're going to have to work up a logging build to see if we can figure out what's going on that way.

Smokey: Nothing showed up on the console when recreating the problem.
