Hang on startup with ZoomText (with 100% CPU even in safe mode and even if I delete all profile data)

Starting thunderbird hangs with 100% CPU, immediately after showing the main window (sometimes it shows a message box, but in any case it hangs). This persists even with -safe-mode and even if I delete all the profile data from C:\Users\Paul\AppData\{Local,LocalLow,Roaming}\Thunderbird. Reinstalling doesn't help either. I did have Lightning installed, however it should have gone away when I deleted said folders? High contrast (accessibility) mode is enabled on Win7. This is 64-bit Windows 7.

Matthew, what happens if you start with switch of -P ?

This appears to be related to ZoomText, a Windows screen magnifier which does wierd things to the graphics drivers. When it is disabled, Thunderbird works. Sorry for not mentioning ZT in the initial report, thanks to people on IRC for hints. Will try -P with zoomtext on.

Summary: Thunderbird 14 hangs on startup with 100% CPU even in safe mode and even if I delete all profile data → Hang on startup with ZoomText (with 100% CPU even in safe mode and even if I delete all profile data)

Starting Thunderbird with ZoomText not running, and then starting ZoomText up, causes Thunderbird to refresh the screen and then hang and go grey. So there is no usable workaround here. With ZoomText running, thunderbird -P shows the profile manager window which then hangs.

Works with a newer version of Zoomtext (10.0.0.5.58). Fixed as far as I'm concerned. Thanks!
