Steps to reproduce:

Firefox 14.0 does not display the site icon along the URL. Only a grey generic icon is displayed instead of the site icon. Why break the years old standard? SSL connections can be identified by e.g. a lock icon showing a verified domain name on a yellow background.

When the 'Always show the tab bar' option is not selected and no tabs are open, the site icon is not displayed at all.
