In version 14, firebug is no longer able to inspect elements or display the DOM. the only way to inspect elements is to right click on an element which does not show where in the DOM the eleoment is.

Steps to reproduce:
opened a webpage, clicked on the inspect elenment icon, nothing happens.
click on HTML tab of firebug, nothing populates.
right click on an element and select inspect element. The element is highlighted, no DOM appears in console. The element is unselectable
Expected results:
All of the above should work as it does, with possible minor changes due to the version change, as it does in FF13.

You should probably report this to the firebug developers.

I close this bug, because it is outdated and this old Versions of Firefox and firebug should not be used any more.
