Hello, I am unable to set up Firefox Sync between my MacBook and my Asus TF101, both of which are running Firefox Beta. I get the three alphanumeric codes on the tablet, which I then enter into the "Pair a Device" menu on my MacBook. After hitting "Continue" on the MacBook, the tablet immediately displays "Waiting for other device", and both machines display their respective progress indicators. After about five seconds, I get the "Device Connected" success screen on my MacBook; however, on the tablet, it says "Cannot Set Up Sync : Firefox Sync could not connect to the server. Would you like to try again?". Despite the success screen on the MacBook, the pairing is not complete, and the tablet does not sync. This is absolutely repeatable - I've tried a number of times already. MacBook user agent : Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0 Tablet user agent : Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Tablet; rv:15.0) Gecko/15.0 Firefox/15.0
I updated my MacBook Firefox to v15; same result. MacBook user agent : Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0 According to the Status page, Sync is functional - so it doesn't appear to be a more generalised service outage. http://status.mozilla.com/11627/149178/Sync-%5BBasic%5D

Are you running multiple versions of Firefox/Fennec on your tablet? The behavior you are describing is often indicative of this situation. see https://wiki.mozilla.org/User:Anaaktgeboren/NativeSync#Android_Sync_behavior_with_multiple_Firefox_versions_installed If that is not the case, please provide the sync logs for both devices.
Ah, yes, I've also got Aurora on this tablet - totally forgot about that ! I removed that and stuck with Firefox Beta - sync successful. Thanks ! I don't know if this should be RESO:FIXED or RESO:INVALID, so please close as appropriate. :)
Daniel, thanks for the quick response. I'm going to mark it invalid. as we currently don't support this scenario.
