User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/536.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/20.0.1132.57 Safari/536.11

Steps to reproduce:

Opened up the homepage.


Actual results:

At the MDN homepage, the 'Awesome Demos' sidebar screenshot are not there. Links are broken probably.


Expected results:

As usual images should have been displayed.

Looks like bug 773480 was resolved. Anything else we need to do to fix this?

Sorry for confusing you, Ratan. The development team will look into this and fix it soon. The work we did in bug 773480 (private because it's about server configuration) might make this easy to fix.

Just to summarize the fix:

Per DEMO_UPLOADS_{ROOT,URL} in settings_local.py, ensure there's a symlink from here:
    /data/www/developer.mozilla.org/kuma/media/uploads/demos
to there:
    /mnt/netapp/developer.mozilla.org-dekiwiki/demos
on developer{1,2,3}.webapp.scl3

And, I'm pretty sure that's a job for someone with root on those servers (ie. jakem?)

We already have this in settings_local.py, for both developer-new and for current-prod:

DEMO_UPLOADS_ROOT = "/mnt/netapp/developer.mozilla.org-dekiwiki/demos"

So I think such a symlink would be unnecessary (never used)... ?
