For our new Marketplace reviewer program and for general use, we need designs for a notecard and sticker sheet.

The sticker sheet is 4x6, 4-color printing. We can have as many stickers as we can fit on there. The proposal from our printer is attached--they only had our logo to work with, so I think we can do more with it.

The notecard is a 5x7 card, plain on one side (for handwriting or feeding through a laser printer), and 4-color on the other.

We'd like to put in the order by Aug 3, so please let me know if that is possible.

Just wanted to provide some additional details on the notecard. It would be great to have an original design, rather than just the Marketplace logo. Maybe a stylized version of the logo, or something else creative. Thanks!

Thanks Amy, we'll do our best.  Can you share the past designs we had done for this program?  I believe Sean had done some icons or badges or something, seeing those can help spark some ideas and it would help to extend those designs to this vs. starting from scratch.

Hi guys,

I've attached a few ideas for the sticker pack as well as the notecard.  I've kept things pretty true to the brand...Thought that with the vibrancy of the orange and yellow against a solid grey background, could make some nice stickers.  I've broken it down to 3 types, a large 6x2" Marketplace sticker along with a circular shaped sticker with a large white stroke to contain the shape.  And finally two colour versions of the rocket in a 1x1" rounded edge shape. 

I've also attached a PDF of a basic note card, which has the Marketplace logo on a grey background on one side and a solid white side with a faint watermark of the logo in the lower corner.

Please let me know what you think of these ideas.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for these, they look good! Here are some thoughts:

STICKERS
- We like the round sticker--can we have more of those, and fewer of the rockets?
- Can we use more vibrant colors for the rocket ones?
- The main sticker should be smaller, and preferably not on a gray background.

NOTECARD
- On the front, we're looking for more than just the logo. The logo should be bigger as well. Maybe with swirls or other design elements around it?

Thanks for the feedback, I've had a chance to rework the stickers with some of your suggestions.  I've added two more circle stickers, and have split the larger grey sticker into two (one white, one grey) as well as working some of the truer textures and colours into the rounded square rocket stickers.  

The notecard is still a work in progress, hoping to have something to show you soon. Although I am not sure how much flexibility I will have in adding elements to the brand...I am hoping to come up with something that will make use of existing brand assets. One area beyond design that could really make the notecard unique, would be the type of paper it is printed on, possibly something quite textured or a matte laminate - could allow a simple design to have more impact.

Question for Amy: I know the possibility of changing the name to Firefox Marketplace has been discussed. Should we hold off on finalizing this until that's been resolved?

I heard that too--so yes, we should hold off on finalizing. I'm hoping the change will be minor so we can stick with Matt's design and just drop in the new logo (I'm assuming the rocket iconography isn't going to change). Do you have insight into timing?

Hi guys,

I've updated the 6x4 sticker pack with the latest 'Firefox Marketplace' logo.  I've also attached an updated 7x5 notecard, which includes two variations for the backside of the card...both are simple and in keeping with the brand as recommended by the design team.  Please let me know what you think about the latest.

Thanks Matt! On the sticker sheet, the lockup of the logo seems off? Same on the notecard. Also for the notecard, would it be possible to use a background other than gray?

Hi Amy, 

That is the way the logo lock-up was given to me.  I may have to ask someone on the design team to confirm for you.  

As for the note card background, I think we can get away with black or white to replace the grey, but beyond that it won't be in keeping with the brand.  One option could be to add some subtle texture to layover the grey.

I've attached an updated version of the 7x5 note card..this version includes some subtle grainy texture on the grey colouring of the background. Please let me know what you think of this as a solution.

Let's go ahead with the grey for now but when I get back from vacation I'd like to talk about that -- I'm not sure how/when gray became the official Marketplace color and I'd like to revisit that.

Hi Sean, I noticed we are using a nice blue and red background in the MozCamp presentation slides--can we use one of these colors as the background color for the notecard? Hey all,

I'd really like to stick with the dark grey background for this as that's what is the default color associated with it in our style guide. The logo and wordmark pop on it and we've just nailed it down. I don't want to stray from it right away. 

Justin - we can have a talk about it for sure. FYI, The color was chosen as a nod to the bg color within the Marketpace itself.
