It would be useful to have a way to trigger an update of nightly Desktop builds, without having to redownload from FTP and run through the whole setup steps.  ideally, i'd like to run some command that will script and pull from FTP, retain my current profile, and launch with the latest nightly.  

Repro:
1) install 7-23-2012 desktop OS build on Mac
2) verify there's no way to easy updater system to update to a more recent version nightly build

Expected:
- have some way to update to the next nightly using a built in updater

Actual:
updating needs to be manually done by ftp today.

Tony, this seems like it needs a Gaia counterpart - can you file it there if there's not one already?

Updated this to block b2g-gecko-updates. We should just ensure that Desktop builds can apply nightly updates the same way Gonk+B2G do..
