Some (4-byte?) UTF-8 characters make the line height extremely large

This bug affects the composer as well as the message viewer.
1. Start composing a new UTF-8 text message.
2. Copy and paste into it some digits from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematical_alphanumeric_symbols#Digits
3. Notice how the line, containing such characters, enlarges enormously.
4. Save the message as draft, notice the same problem in the viewer.
5. View the message source, notice the same problem in the source viewer.

This works for me, the characters in the referenced url copy/paste correctly here.
Using:Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:18.0) Gecko/18.0 Thunderbird/18.0a1
The only thing I can think of is that you are over-riding the automatic charset detection.
Right click on the folder in question and choose properties.
Make sure that "Apply default to all messages" is _not_ checked.
