On the otoro, ls -l /mnt (when the sdcard is mounted) shows drwxr-xr-x root system 2012-07-24 10:34 asec drwxr-xr-x root system 2012-07-24 10:34 obb d---rwxr-x system sdcard_rw 1969-12-31 17:00 sdcard d--------- system system 2012-07-24 10:34 sdcard2 drwx------ root root 2012-07-24 10:34 secure On the sgs2, ls -l /mnt shows drwxr-xr-x 2 root system 40 Jul 24 12:51 asec drwxr-xr-x 2 root system 40 Jul 24 12:51 obb drwxrwxr-x 21 system sdcard_r 32768 Dec 31 1969 sdcard drwx------ 4 root root 0 Jul 24 12:51 secure I think this is caused because /mnt/sdcard has incorrect permissions in the initramfs image.
So it turns out that d---rwxr-x is correct.
