In the course of looking for details while submitting another bug, I found the "Show Update History" button and pressed it. All of the updates were labeled "Security Update" which I think may be a little bogus, but I won't argue about it. I was curious to see what the details were, so I pressed the "Details" word on the right that looks like a link. I expected to either get a pop up window or be taken to a web page. What happened was that Thunderbird opened a new email composition window. No addressees, no subject, no body. This is an absolutely plain vanilla Thunderbird installation: No extensions, the appearance is default, and the listed plugins seem to all be about Firefox.
Clicking the Details does nothing for me on Win XP. Only a message in the Error console: No chrome package registered for chrome://navigator/content/navigator.xul
