User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1 Build ID: 20120713134347 Steps to reproduce: I browse the internet using Firefox Actual results: I am getting "unresponsive script" messages constantly for several days while running Firefox. message states: script:chrome://global/content/bindings/tabbox.xml:69. I do not have Chrome installed. This message comes up while running Firefox. It freezes up my computer. I have never installed Google Chrome. It is not in my list of applications to uninstall. Expected results: I should be browsing as always for years using Firefox without any script messages relating to Google Chrome. Are you working with them now?
The 'chrome' that the message refers to is actually part of Firefox, it's nothing to do with Google Chrome (and yes, it does lead to much confusion).
chrome:// URLs are internal Gecko/Firefox URLs since 1999 and google has stolen "our" name. Please run Firefox in the firefox safemode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode Most of such issues are caused by addons.
Deanne, do you still see this problem when using safe mode?
