User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1
Build ID: 20120713134347
Steps to reproduce:
Preliminary: Set your home page to the default.
1. Go into private browsing mode. (I used Ctrl+Shift+P)
2. Exit browser while still in private browsing mode.
3. Re-launch browser.
Actual results:
There was a small 'p', as shown in the attached file, as an indication that we were back from private browsing. This is a privacy concern.
Expected results:
The 'p' shouldn't be there. All files should be restored as if the current normal browsing session had ended, there should be no trace, either direct or indirect, of being in private browsing mode.

Hameer, do you see the 'p' at any other time? I can't reproduce this behaviour in Firefox Nightly (eg. FF17), and I don't see the 'p' while inside private browsing mode. Is there an addon you have installed that causes it to appear?

Are you sure you exited the browser FROM private browsing, and re-launched it (which should put it in normal mode, and make the 'p' visible)?
And, no, I haven't noticed the 'p' at any other time. I shall update this bug if I do so, though. As for the add-ons question, I don't believe so, but I have no way of making sure, either. I'll be glad if you could point me to one. I'll try disabling add-ons one by one to see if it changes anything.

I tried this and I couldn't reproduce it. Can you please try restarting Firefox using Help -> Restart with Add-ons Disabled and see if you can reproduce this? Thanks!
