Details

(Whiteboard: [dupme])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1
Build ID: 20120713134347

Steps to reproduce:

Received successive e-mails with large attachments ... usually photos.

Have been living with this problem for some time. It is not a one-time occurrence.

Actual results:

The second e-mail shows up in the e-mail list with it's unique name, but when "clicked" to read and see the e-mail and attachments, it has the name and content of the prior message. The content and attachments of the second e-mail are lost.

My work-around is to ask folks sending successive e-mails with large attachments to insert a "buffer" dummy e-mail between the two e-mails. The dummy then gets the bad pointers and the following e-mail arrives intact.

Expected results:

Should have two complete e-mails in the input list that retain their original names and their attachments.

I am on Windows XP and Thunderbird 14.0
What happens if you repair the folder where those email are stored ?
