Steps to reproduce:
I accidentally deleted a bunch of lines of stuff and now I have only one search line under the main line with no back arrows (Don't know what you call those things) so when I bring up T-Bird but there are no back or forward arrows at top of screen. Tried downloading new T-Bird but no improvement.
Rightclick on the toolbar and choose Customize. Add the buttons you want. Does it help?
Or if you disabled the whole toolbars, use View->Toolbars.

Keith, pls try aceman's advice from comment 1, which should solve your issue.

Technically, this isn't a bug, nor a request for enhancement.
So accordingly, I'll mark this as invalid.
