Description

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1
Build ID: 20120713134347

Steps to reproduce:

Whenever I try to print/print preview (all pages) in Moodle (used by most Universities) using Firefox (even with latest version 14.0.1) it only prints/print previews the first page, the rest of the pages are missing (pages 2 onwards).

Actual results:

Pages 2 onwards are missing completely (not printed &/or not visible in print preview)

Expected results:

All pages should have printed/print previewed, not just page 1.

Do you have a public link to provide with this issue? So we could test here.

Not that I am aware of, the link I use is http://moodle.une.edu.au/my/ but you would need a login. I'm happy to test if that helps.

Apparently it was an issue in Mozilla Firefox v3 but was fixed in v4 if that helps.

Could you attach the print result of a testing page, please? (use the Microsoft XPS Document Writer or a random PDF creator)

It will contain private/confidential information though...

Does the 1st page is fully printed/previewed? Or does it start only after the 2nd page?

Here you go, the print preview shows the same as what it actually prints.

I printed these with CutePDF Writer (printer driver) then black highlighted names (to hide them), converted the pdfs to tiffs then the tiffs to pdfs (= flat pdf so highlighting cant be undone).

I found these Moodle demos: http://school.demo.moodle.net/ & http://demo.moodle.net/
Could you tell me if it's reproducible with the 1st demo e.g. (you can create admin/teacher/student logins to test)

Interesting, when I open http://school.demo.moodle.net/ & then go to print preview it shows 4 pages.

So try basic troubleshooting with your current Firefox profile and Moodle website of your university:
- safe mode: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_Safe_Mode
- new profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Reporter: If you can still reproduce[1], could you try to create a reduced testcase?[2]
