Attachment: Firefox: missing text labels

In Nightly from 2012-08-02, Google Maps fails to display text labels.  See attached screenshots.

Steps to reproduce:
- Navigate to http://maps.google.ca
- Zoom to desired area
- No text appears 

Expected result: Text should be displayed for map locations.  Screenshot of Chrome's rendering of the same area attached for comparison.

Firefox is running in Ubuntu 12.04 on a Lenovo x220 laptop.

I can replicate that if I use mapsGL. No labels.

Switching back to classic mode, everything works as expected.

I can reproduce this...on certain zoom levels there is no text, on others the text is black. I see the same experience with Firefox 14.0.1 and Firefox 17.0a1. In what version did we first ship MapsGL support so I can work on a regression range?

We never shipped MapsGL support as such, rather Google green-lit Firefox versions newer than 12 or so. I don't remember what the cut-off was anymore.

It should be working on all versions, and should likewise be fixed everywhere.

My UX is exactly the same with Firefox 17.0a1, 16.0a2, 15b3, 14.0.1, 13.0, and 12.0. At the very least this has been around for a few months. I can go back further if necessary. Please let me know.

I don't see this issue anymore using 25.0a1 (2013-07-14).
