User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:16.0) Gecko/16.0 Firefox/16.0
Build ID: 20120731042010

Steps to reproduce:

The version of the font-family 'Open Sans', 'Open Sans Light'... does not include non-English characters, in example in https://mozillians.org/es/about in the title "Involúcrate" the ú character is not Open Sans

Actual results:

The characters á é í ó ú ñ... are displayed with a different font

Expected results:

To solve the problem it must be used the embedded font to cover more languages (latin extended and cyrillic at least).
In example, you must copy:
https://www.mozilla.org/media/fonts/OpenSans-Regular-webfont.woff
to:
https://mozillians.org/media/fonts/OpenSans-Regular-webfont.woff
the same to the other Open Sans variations.

FYI, we fixed that problem in tabzilla and mozilla.org in bug 776905. We should have mozillians.org use the font on mozilla.org and not use its own version, I don't know if our CORS headers allow that, so CCing Anthony.
for reference, the copy of the Open Sans font on mozillans.org seems to be located there:

[bug 779948] Replace local fonts with links to mozilla.org

We now pull the fonts directly from mozilla.org.
I am reopening it since the fix didn't go into production and it's already been a month. Supposedly that should have made it into a push to production on September 26, but according to the revision data on production, it seems that there was no such push:

https://mozillians.org/media/revision.txt
which means that these patches are not published:
https://github.com/mozilla/mozillians/compare/6f98f1676062bda276104e56f39701c29550150c...master

6f98f1676062bda276104e56f39701c29550150c corresponds to the state of master on September 10 if I understand things correctly.

We are not pushing weekly any more. This was pushed two days ago in prod and looks fixed.

Thanks!

Bumping to verified per comment 8

Reopening this because Latin Extended support is broken at the moment.

See my profile as an example: https://mozillians.org/en-US/u/selim/

Letter "Ş" in my surname is displayed in Arial instead of Open Sans.

With the decom of mozillians.org, there's nothing left to do here regarding font choices. Closing.
