The current IMAP properties window has a tab called "General Information. This tab currently only shows the name of the folder, which I already know. ;-) I'd like to see these C4.7 attributes displayed as well: Unread Messages: Total Messages: Space Wasted: Total Space Used: There's also Location, and Type, but I would prioritized those lower than the ones above.
I second this request, and actually, I'd like to bring back the feature from Seamonkey mail where we could choose which attributes we wanted displayed in columns to the right of the folder name (though this is of a far lower priority than a proper properties window). Since my IMAP account rains down holy hell on me when I go over quota, the lack of any size count here kind of breaks Thunderbird for me, and I have to load up a different mail program to see if my inbox is going to pack up and move to the other server this week.
Thunderbird has a tab that shows the total size of a folder if (and only if) a quota is set for that folder. (Not even if a quota root is set but higher in the folder hierarchy.) However this would be a good spot to /always/ calculate and display the size of a folder. I don't know whether IMAP supports this without client side workarounds when no quotum is set. @ comment #1: Thunderbird 1.0 does have what you want. You have to enable a checkbox in the advanced preferences first to see the extra columns in the folder pane.
all items from comment 0 are available except "Space Wasted"
