Open mail task, select "Get msg", watch mozilla crash with a segmentation fault.
This bug has been bugging my wife for a LONG time, so much that she now doesn't
like mozilla and is trying to switch back to Netscape 4.7x. Problem is,
Netscape now gives her bad crasher problems also.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open mail task
2.Click on 'Get Msg'
3.Watch the segmentation fault
Actual Results: crash
Expected Results: download mail
I'm also seeing this message when I manually launch mozilla for her:
Error loading with many headers to download: [Exception... "Component returned
failure code: 0xc1f30001 (NS_ERROR_NOT_INITIALIZED) [nsIMsgFolder.updateFolder]"
nsresult: "0xc1f30001 (NS_ERROR_NOT_INITIALIZED)" location: "JS frame ::

data: no]

Changing the component,
marking this bug a dup of bug 69360 looking at the error reported here from the
console. It is the same as the one reported in bug 69630.
Navin,
If you don't think so please change it. However I have not seen any crash or
hang while getting mail on my pop account. I created a new profile with pop as
my default and downloaded messages fine.(leave mssgs on server checked)(buildid:
2001050205 on linux) This is one of those bugs where reproducing is almost
impossible.
reporter,
Is this a yahoo pop account?

No, this is an ATT@Home account. I've seen the crash a couple of times in the
last few builds I've tried. I'll just sit back, and if I see it again, I'll update.
thanks!
The bug that this one is marked as a duplicate of is asking whether the same
problem is seen with 4.7x.
The answer is "yes". Both Mozilla and Netscape 4.7x crash in the same manner in
this scenario.
