2001 041408 (using an old build because of bug 76618) The first time I open the bookmarks menu, it's slow. The first time i open the bookmarks menu from the button on the personal toolbar, it's slow, even if I've already opened the bookmarks menu from the main toolbar. Similarly, the first time I open IE favorites in the bookmarks menu, it's slow, and the first time I open IE favorites in the bookmarks menu from the personal toolbar, it's slow. It seems like each of those menus should open instantaneously if I've already opened the other. Or do the two bookmarks menus to be separate so we can support context menus (bug 50504), middle-click (bug 33761), etc. on the bookmarks menu from the personal toolbar without supporting those features on the main bookmarks menu? (Fwiw, I'd rather see those features supported on both bookmarks menus.) This bug might become unimportant if several of the major perf bugs affecting the bookmarks menus go away: bug 76676 bookmarks menu takes a long time to show up when IE favorites is a submenu bug 31301 opening IE favorites submenu takes a long time and makes moz unresponsive

Jesse: is it still an issue, now? This bug conflicts with bug 92794.
What I described in comment 0 still happens. I think the real problem is that the bookmarks menu takes a long time to appear, not that opening one bookmarks menu doesn't make the other one open quickly. Feel free to wontfix.
