I see the same issue on both desktop and mobile, the flash plugin is hidden by the page and we don't detect that so we don't show the door hanger. The difference between desktop and mobile though is that on desktop we have the little lego brick in the url bar so I can click that to view the video

Ian, do you have ideas about how we can make a "little lego brick" indicator like we do on desktop? We filed bug 700437 a long time ago about adding a way to bring back hidden doorhangers (that's what desktop is doing with that icon), but maybe this can fit into your grand favicon/lock/toolbar icons plans? I would really like to see way to fix this plugin issue, since it's annoying to not be able to activate hidden plugins sometimes, and it's annoying when we activate all plugins after you tap on one.

URL above is Flash with plugins enabled and H.264 embed with plugins disabled.

So it sounds like this isn't a problem with the UI for click to play plugins, but rather a dupe of bug 719694.
