I was having this problem w/ v1.1 too, so I turned off encryption. I start browser and mail/news when I start mozilla. I have an IMAP account, the password for which is stored in PSM. So, the first thing I see when I start mozilla is a pop-up asking for my PSM password. Almost every time I enter the password, mozilla crashes. Worksforme. Try setting up a new profile. Maybe your cert DB is corrupted.

With linux, how do I start mozilla so I can create a new profile? I'm not going to delete my old one since I've tried that umpteen times to fix previous incarnations of this problem.
./mozilla -help shows the startup options. You would use: ./mozilla -ProfileManager
