Windowed plugins are currently not working. Flash in youtube is falling back to windowless. I'm not sure if all plugins do that automatically or not. It's my understanding that the advantage of having windowed plugins is that it gives the plugin more control of native APIs. Flash is hardware accelerated with windowed mode and performs better.

We have long wanted to drop windowed mode for Flash entirely and only use windowless mode (with the new accelerated drawing models that we've worked on together). I'm not sure that it's worth tracking this.
Is it possible for some sites to only offer flash content in windowed mode where a fallback would not work? I think it would always fallback to windowless but just checking.
