The Flash 11.4 beta is now publicly available at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11-4.html

Unlike previous betas, this one now has full updates available and should continue to automatically update to new Flash betas. In order to help Adobe get widespread testing of the beta and provide feedback on stability issues, I'd like to try and get about 25% of our aurora and beta users onto the Flash beta.

We've talked about offering a special bundle of both installers, but for now, I want to just try and push the Flash betas via our existing communication channels: the beta download and firstrun pages, and if possible, the plugincheck page (only for aurora/beta users).

Laura, are you the right person to talk to about creating appropriate wording? Are there other places in-product or in websites (or elsewhere!) that we can make a specific request for people to download the Flash betas?

Not sure that there's a good bugzilla component for this, so I picked a kinda random one.
cc'ing wil to see if adding something like this to plugincheck is feasible or helpful.
I'm not sure if auroras send different request strings to the pluginchecker. If it does, this would be feasible if you're looking to move people from one to the other (and it upgrades cleanly to this new version). I don't know how often this would change - for every adobe security release we have to update the pluginchecker in two places already.
I'll take this one. Thanks for filing. I'll use this as the tracking bug and then get copy/dev to help too.

CC'ing QA on this too since they are planning a test day around the flash beta prior to release.

The entry site for FP beta redirects to FP release now; I'll hand this back when I can get Adobe to provide an updated entry link :-(

Here is the link to the latest Beta: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11-5.html
Jeclark will be providing a permanent link that will work across multiple versions.

I don't think this should block us.

Closing this since the two tactical bugs to help accomplish this have been deployed: 784446 & 784454.
