PDF Viever (pdfjs) prevents all entries from appearing on the subscirbe list. For me Google reader is interesting. Only Livemarks and "Add application" remain. Only tried it with RSS feeds. They reappear after I disable the addon and restart.
Happened on this bug by accident, because I was unsatisfied with PDF Viewer and disabled it.

The issue was cause by the pdf.js addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/pdfjs/ -- the internal PDF Viewer conflicts with addon's resources. The internal PDF Viewer does not cause the problem.

Fixed in pdf.js extension v0.4.11 by https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/pull/2001

I'm a bit confused... I don't know of any PDF viewing capability without the addon.
Starting from FF15, The PDF Viewer is embedded in the Firefox similar to the feed viewer. It's basically the pdf.js addon, but without the extension interface. It's enabled only for Nightly builds to perform its functionality testing.

The "PDF Viewer" bugzilla component was created to record the issues with the Firefox; the pdf.js extensions was/is accepting the issues at https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/issues. It might change it the future. Sorry for the confusion.
It should be a good idea to force the upgrade of pdviewer for older version, it makes days now i searched where this bug comes from, i had no idea it could be linked with pdfviewer ...
