User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0 Build ID: 20120726134955 Steps to reproduce: I wanted to open Wikipedia's twitter logo as SVG. See here: http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Datei:Twitter_bird_logo_2012.svg&filetimestamp=20120623102455 and click to open SVG. Actual results: Firefox crashed. On restoring, Wikipedia's twitter article came on that tab, instead of the logo page, what I had expected. Expected results: Firefox should have opened the twitter logo SVG.
These both work for me with a Nightly (Firefox 17) on Mac. It looks like you're on Linux -- can you try a Nightly Linux build to see if the crash is still there?
Sounds like this is the same as bug 780828 which is Linux only.
I can rproduce the crash in Firefox15beta, Aurora16.0a2 and Nightly17.0a1 on Ubuntu. No crash reporter pops up.
