8/15 nightly, Fedora 17. STR: 1. Open a new tab 2. Press ctr+w, notice that tab doesn't close 3. Click in content area 4. Press ctr+w, notice the tab closes This is working fine in the 8/13 nightly on OS X.

Continues to work fine in the 8/15 nightly on OS X, so this looks like a linux thing.

Hmm, this seems like it might be a fallout from enabling the emacs keybindings :/ The focus for a new tab is in the location bar, and ctr+w removes the last word present in the location bar.

I'm pretty confident that this behaviour is caused outside of Firefox, and I'm guessing we can't override it. Maybe this belongs on the fedora bugtracker instead.
