Details

8/15 nightly, Fedora 17.

STR:
1. Open a new tab
2. Press ctr+w, notice that tab doesn't close
3. Click in content area
4. Press ctr+w, notice the tab closes

This is working fine in the 8/13 nightly on OS X.
Continues to work fine in the 8/15 nightly on OS X, so this looks like a linux thing.
OS: Mac OS X → Linux
Hmm, this seems like it might be a fallout from enabling the emacs keybindings :/ The focus for a new tab is in the location bar, and ctr+w removes the last word present in the location bar.
I'm a bit confused...is it a bug or not?
I'm pretty confident that this behaviour is caused outside of Firefox, and I'm guessing we can't override it. Maybe this belongs on the fedora bugtracker instead.
Severity: normal → S3
