Hey Chris, 

We're running some out of home advertising and we need to set up a redirect from a custom URL. The ad is going to feature the URL www.mozilla.org/firefoxmobile and we'd like it to redirect to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/#mobile

The ad will be going live on September 3, so we'd like this re-direct in place by September 1.

Let me know if you have any questions or if I should assign it to someone else.

Also, will this URL be trackable in webtrends?

so we have 

www.mozilla.org/firefoxmobile on the outdoor ad. We'd like it to go to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/. Do you need an mzl.la link to track it? If so, which URL should I connect it to? The first or the second?

My only point is that the mzl.la links would still give you the impression and demographic data that you are looking for that we would get from a WebTrends campaign ID + redirect, but without having to involve Webdev. Typing in a URL is the same as a click. Plus, mzl.la is shorter than www.mozilla.org/firefoxmobile and kind of generic for a campaign.

You know how TV and other billboards use redirects that a specific to the campaign topic like if there as an ad about "having fun in life" the link may be www.web.com/fun and that redirects to another landing page. What if we did mzl.la/getmobile? We already have 1,000+ redirects on Mozilla.org and we are trying to prevent from adding more redirects for one-off needs.

The URL /firefoxmobile is set as it's in the creative (and that's gone to production). 

I'm sorry to add to the number of redirects. I know it's messy. Next time we'll try to avoid this.
