I'm building for SGS2 on my iMac on OS X 10.8 and am getting an erroneous error claiming my perl version is too old. Attached is the build output. I have Perl 5.12.4, so that's not true at all, as per: MacXTreme:sgs2 sheppy$ perl --version Also, I pulled the latest mozilla-central and it builds fine, so it does appear to be a b2g-specific build issue I'm having. And building the emulator works fine as well. This is perl 5, version 12, subversion 4 (v5.12.4) built for darwin-thread-multi-2level (with 2 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail) Copyright 1987-2010, Larry Wall Perl may be copied only under the terms of either the Artistic License or the GNU General Public License, which may be found in the Perl 5 source kit. Complete documentation for Perl, including FAQ lists, should be found on this system using "man perl" or "perldoc perl". If you have access to the Internet, point your browser at http://www.perl.org/, the Perl Home Page.

Weird that this only happens for a device build.. something seems fishy

Can you attach objdir-gecko/config.log?

That folder doesn't even exist. I'm very confused by this.

Can you rerun config.sh and make sure it completes successfully? Also, the contents of .config can be helpful.

Problem is, config.sh fails if your device already has b2g on it.

Turns out my build system was completely borked. I'm not sure how it happened; it had been working fine. Anyway, I flashed my device back to ICS and started over with ./config.sh galaxy-s2 and it seems to be building now, so I'm closing this.
