At my intern presentation, Windows 8 automagically enabled display mirroring and changed my screen resolution to 1024x768 (or maybe 1280x1024?) when I plugged my MacBook with W8 RP into the projector via DisplayPort. After the screen resolution changed, Metro Firefox was shifted downward, making the top half of the screen blank and the bottom half of the screen be my slides. The rest of W8 worked, but Metro Firefox didn't render properly until I closed and reopened it.
Wait. Sorry. I just tinkered a bit more and this appears to be a rendering bug in dzslides. I'll go file the appropriate bug on GitHub instead.
