Details

When I create different path instead of default download folder the files are not saving to specified path. It's pointing to desktop and saving files there.

Try:
about:config > browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite = false

Firefox should download the files in the last download directory used (browser.download.lastDir).
no luck.
Sorry I Forgot test this using different profile or using reset :)
