I've been seeing a lot of flash hangs on longer videos [1][2][3]. I'm not quite sure when this started.

I frequently run into this on the Achievement Hunter site [4]. The "Let's Play" series has long videos. I usually can't make it through one without flash being killed. When it happens, the video freeze-frames but the audio continues for a few seconds.

When I previously tried looked into this issue (running Flash 11.2.202.236), I was able to disable IPC and flash would not hang. Occasionally the video would stall/pause/stutter for less than a second (sometimes followed by the video 'fast-forwarding' as if to catch up to where it should be in the play-back), but it always returns to normal play. However, now (running Flash 11.2.202.238) when I disable IPC, Firefox would crash immediately [5][6].

I'm currently running Firefox 17 and Flash 11.2.202.238 (both Linux 64bit).
