After recommended installation of build 2001042604 (commercial) on Win NT, added a few sidebar tabs from dmoz.org Sidebar Directory (CNN Brazil and CNN en Espanol). After adding the tabs, performed the following: 1. Clicked on Tabs 2. Selected Customize My Sidebar... 3. Saw garbled sidebar titles in the right-hand pane of the customization window (see attachment).
OK. The problem here is due to the length of the sidebar tab name. If I put a sidebar tab in with a long name, the scrollbars appear and the names of the tabs get truncated.
nav triage team: Jaime, is this REALLY a beta stopper for intl?
Paul - Would you be willing to ship the US beta with the same issue? Keep in mind, that this beta is going out to a global dev audience, which we hope will be developing Sidebars for the final release. Lynn - What's your take on this bug? The attachment looks pretty bad to me.
Paul - Just took at look at this in Buidl ID: 2001051104. This looks like a global problem (i.e. Not just the International folders issue, but all Folders look like crap right now) . . . so, um I think we should fix this.
I think the original problem doesn't manifest itself anymore. The scrollbars have disappeared in the right-hand pane of the customization window. However, I have noticed in the 5/11/2001 build that most of the sidebar folders aren't appearing anymore in the left-hand pane. I only see a blank arrow for the Recommended folder. There is no other content listed except the items within the Recommended folder.
Yes, have noticed that certain daily builds of N6.1 have a problem displaying the contents of the folders within the Customize Sidebar dialog box. (This seems to be pretty random as far as which builds display this dialog box properly and which don't.)
I believe this was fixed with Ben's patch from bug 80281. Sujay, can you verify so that we can get this off the radar?
nav+pdt triage: sujay can we retest this and confirm if it is still happening. in any case, this is a nice to have m0.9.3. bug.
Not seeing this problem anymore in the 6/5 build.
treecol => treegroup fix. We dont' use treecol anymore. fix was approved under bug 80281 and checked in.
