Details

Some times the social sidebar content can be slow to load on startup. Should we keep the side bar hidden while it loads, to avoid seeing a blank page for a second or two? I'm not sure which is worse from a UX point of view, a blank page showing up temporarily, or a sidebar appearing somewhat randomly after startup. Alternatively, we could implement some kind of progress UI (spinner/throbber/etc.).
