784230 - Session restore dialog reappears on every restart

Steps to reproduce:

Firefox crashed after long browsing session. Restart failed. Restart after restart also failed. 


Actual results:

"Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs" dialog.
Clicked "Start new session", and a new session was started successfully. Exited Firefox. Restated Firefox.  Same dialog reappeared. This repeats on each restart of Firefox.

Tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode. The problem still occurs, but now the pages listed in the restart dialog are the ones associated with the restart itself. The page that caused the original crash is long gone. See attached screenshot. 




Expected results:

If the user requests a clean restart, clear the recovery data and don't ever try a recovery again. 

I thought this was fixed back in 2009. It's now showing up in 15.0 on the beta channel. (Windows 7, 64 bit.)

No crashes have been logged by this browser since 2/18/2012.  Actually, Firefox never explicitly crashed here.  It may have been killed when Windows Update restarted the machine. 

Of course it doesn't happen on a clean profile.

Have you closed FF after the new profile and reopened with the new profile? Or have you just made a new profile and launched?

Can you still reproduce this is if you intentionally, or unintentionally crash curretn version of Firefox?
