User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1
Build ID: 20120713134347
Steps to reproduce:
Used a VirtualLightBox Slideshow on a website.
Actual results:
After working fine for a year, in Firefox 13 in July-
There are now Image anomalies in the slideshows, as they play. It seems to be the result of the previous image not being fully removed, when the next image is presented. With the text, it becomes garbled. With the picts, it becomes a frame in a frame in a frame situation on certain images in the series.
It is something that builds over the succession of images, and comes and goes.
The problem continues in Firefox 14 & 15.
This is the link to the Slideshows are exhibit the anomalies on the Mac:

Here are screenshots of what I'm seeing.
These show the garbled text and image distortion:

Expected results:
There should be no image anomalies as the slideshow plays.

Hello. I haven’t looked at the screenshots, but the issue might depend on whether hardware acceleration is enabled: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration — that page describes how to disable hardware acceleration and/or WebGL to see if that’s the case.
Hi Aleksej,
Thanks for your response and suggestion!
I performed each of those steps individually, and together, but it didn't change anything.
I switched it back after this testing, re-enabling both of them.
I'm not certain, but I think this may be a specifically Mac problem. Another Mac user is having the same problem with these slideshows.
So this bug has been witnessed in both OS 10.5.8 and 10.6.8 on MacBook Pros of different generations.
All help gratefully welcome!
