785289 - Share does not work from Reader Mode

It is not possible to use the Share functionality from Reader Mode. I know this is a little tricky because what will you be sharing? The volatile reader mode version of the page or the original page?

But, I've tried to use Share a couple of times now. (Mostly to Pocket or Instapaper the document that I am looking at). Might be a common use case?

I think ideally it would simply share the original link.

Sharing works for me; I selected 'Messaging' and 'Twitter' and I see the URL without the 'about:reader' prefix

The Share menu item is disabled but you can use the share button in the reader toolbar to share the source URL. Yes, it's a bit confusion. We should probably enable the share menu item while in reader and major sure that the menu item behaves exactly like the reader share button.

Sharing an article in reader mode works fine both from Firefox Menu and Reader Mode Toolbar. Closing bug as WFM.

I don't this should be closed as WFM. The real bug here is that the Share option *is* disabled. See attached screenshot.

"Share" option was enabled through bug 788157. Have you installed the latest Nightly on your device?
