yesterday I thought this was 78317.  That bug has been fixed on the trunk.  Yet 
mfcembed still crashes on launch

Yes, this was just another incarnation of bug 78317. Without the critical
'res\fonts\*' files, disaster strikes.

Looks like that's how they fixed the crash in xpfe as shown in the patch for 
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78317

I tested it with Embed and it seems to fix it.

this doesn't crash in quite the same place as yesterdays windows blocker.  with 
the embed product the profile manager comes up...it crashes after selecting a 
profile and clicking to start.

the windows blocker form yesterday was crashing before the profile manager 
opened

Tracy : that's correct now we crash just before the page is rendered.
