Steps to reproduce:

Each time I open Thunderbird, when I delete the first email (or even long after I open Thunderbird, if I have not been using it for awhile) . . . 


Actual results:

A window pops up asking if I want to compact the file folders.  I click yes, or no . . . but no matter what, it happens again the next time I use Thunderbird


Expected results:

This used to only happen once a month or so . . . not every day, or several times a day, as it does now.
a dup of bug 762169 or bug 750569  (with some slight difference, but nevertheless, likely the same)
