78609 - remove the annoying whitespace at the left when editing URL bar

from bug 78606. either replace with dimmed icon [if that bug exists, and we
decide to go that route, feel free to dup this], or move the cursor closer to
the left margin. :)

shifting left would cause jump issues.
perhaps a greyed universal no icon?
or we could 'grey' it up (make the area look like it's not part of the editbar)

I don't mind having the whitespace when i use w2k's toolbar, nor do i mind not 
having the whitespace in w2k's run box.

This is ugly; you mean it's intentional to have that extra white space???  We 
need to do *something* to fix this.  I like timeless' suggestion of having it 
pick up the gray area.

while the url in the urlbar is being typed, or empty.

mass-verifying claudius' Fixed bugs which haven't changed since 2001.12.31.

if you think this particular bug is not fixed, please make sure of the following
before reopening:

a. retest with a *recent* trunk build.
b. query bugzilla to see if there's an existing, open bug (new, reopened,
assigned) that covers your issue.
c. if this does need to be reopened, make sure there are specific steps to
reproduce (unless already provided and up-to-date).
