Please create / update existing vSphere templates to cover the following operating systems:

WinXP 32-bit
Vista 32-bit
Vista 64-bit
Win7 32-bit
Win7 64-bit
Win8 32-bit
Win8 64-bit
Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit
Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit
Fedora 17 32-bit
Fedora 17 64-bit

For each template, please use 2GB RAM, 1 CPU, 30GB HD.

Dan, for each platforms we have a list of tools being installed and os wide preferences set. Can we have those modifications in our templates or is that not possible and we will have to do that ourselves inside the running VMs?

:whimboo, we're going to make very generic templates first (so we can use them for other projects), but once they're done we can make customized templates for your purposes that we can then deploy VMs from. once we get to that point, :aj can work with you to determine exactly what you want installed.

Should have all the base templates ready tomorrow.

The layout is set, just need to perform the vanilla installs.

This is something that we can handle with an automated deployment solution such as WDS acting as a PXE boot server and MDT doing the custom scripting.

Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit
Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit
Fedora 17 32-bit
Fedora 17 64-bit

Working on Windows templates.

There's a delay in getting the needed ISOs (speed issues).

Will update once all installed and/or if run into any issues.

All templates ready except for Win8 64-bit (installer does not finish, working on fixing).

For Win8 64 bit had to use the Windows 7 64 bit profile.

Once done, will close this bug and will continue on Bug 773116 for the customized templates.

They are located as follows;
Linux:
Templates -> Linux -> Vanilla

Windows:
Templates -> Windows -> Vanilla
