Steps to reproduce:

The new developer tool "Responsive Design Mode" isn't translated in French.
I suppose this is because it's a technical word, and not so old, so there is not currently an institued translation.
I really understand that french dev understand for now "Responsive design".
But I think it's not too late to try to push a french word.

A W3C recommendation, "Mobile Web Best Practices" http://http://www.w3.org/TR/mobile-bp , translated by J.J.SOLARI http://www.yoyodesign.org/doc/w3c/mobile-bp/ . The word "responsive" is not used, but chapter 3 is exactly the subject. The translation uses "adaptation de contenu".

"adaptation de contenu" is used.

An article of listapart, http://www.alistapart.com/articles/responsive-web-design/ , perhaps this article is the origin of the usage of "Responsive Web Design". A french translation exists: http://gobanclub.net/2010/11/17/responsive_webdesign_ethan_marcotte_trad_fr/ .
The translated title is "Le Web Design Réactif", but they use "adaptation" and "adapter" a lot.

I'm not convinced by the proposals. They all are missing an important part of the expression which is "Design".

It also has nothing to do with the content, so "adaptation de contenu" is really confusing.

We'll see how the implementation evolves, but if it stays like this, I'd favor something completely unrelated to the original such as "Tester d'autres tailles d'écran".
