(Reporter: bryanob3, Unassigned)
Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0
Build ID: 20120824154833
Steps to reproduce:
Ever since I started using the Firefox SYNC feature, I noticed that editing or organizing my bookmark library had become very slow.
Using drag and drop with the mouse, or (Ctrl-X) and then (Ctrl-V), I move a bookmark link from the Unsorted Bookmarks folder, to another folder of my choosing. I could also copy with (Ctrl-C) and then (Ctrl-V), to another folder.
I posted about this in the community forum, but no solution was provided. See ref:https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/926545#answer-364115
Actual results:
There's a delay of up to 5-seconds, before I could do anything else; meaning move or copy another bookmark link.
It doesn't matter which folder I choose to organize, the result is the same.
If I disable the Internet connection, the problem goes away. (HINT)
What's even stranger that fiction was that no one in the community forum reported this matter. It led me to believe that many Firefox users do not use the Sync feature.
The problem happens on my desktop computer (Win XP Pro SP3), and also on my laptop (Win 7 SP1). Both of these computers are Synchronized together.
Expected results:
There shouldn't be such a delay at all, because it literally makes the bookmark library unusable.

I'd like to add my exact report to this issue: when internet is connected, if I click the star to bookmark a page, and then I try to remove it and re-click again in rapid sequence I can't: the UI is frozen _until_ I can see some network activity (winXP, blinking network icon).
If I send the network link down (aka, unplug the LAN cable) I can click and remove the same page from bookmarks over and over with no lags at all.
Is there a guide to tune/test weave/sync settings? I think something went wrong and some settings got unsetted (like nextHeartBeat: what is it controlling?).
Tnx guys!

Ran into this bug today on FF 15.0.1 when attempting to organize bookmarks from Unsorted to their relevant folders. There is a lengthy "freeze" after editing a bookmark where it is impossible to move it into a new folder.
My experience is identical to the symptoms described by the submitter.
