Description

Steps:

1. Go to https://people.mozilla.com/~anarayanan/gum_test.html
2. Select Picture

Expected:

The camera should flash and your picture should appear on screen.

Actual:

Nothing happens. Additionally, if I try to quit firefox at this point, firefox fails to shut down. Is something hung here?

This was working before, but now isn't working at all. Did something regress on Nightly?

I tried it on Mac with a nightly a couple of days ago, no problem.

Okay, I'll go retest. I was testing this with my USB webcam on OS X 10.6 and OS X 10.8.

Re-tested. I can reproduce this consistently on a OS X 10.8 with a USB webcam and I can reproduce this on a Macbook Pro running OS X 10.7 with a built-in webcam.

I'm wondering if this involves device-specific drivers if I'm seeing it and others are not. Anant - Next time you are in Mountain View, stop by my desk and I'll show you one of the machines reproducing this behavior.
