Steps to reproduce:

Logged into www.khanacademy.org/login


Actual results:

Firefox did not prompt me to save my khanacademy password


Expected results:

Firefox should prompt me to save my khanacademy password

Can you test with the basic troubleshooting steps:

1) In safe mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

2) With a new profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

3) Remove the old save of the KhanAcademy password in Firefox and remember it again. 

Does it work?

It doesn't work. Safe mode with a new profile doesn't work at all.

I tried with some old versions of Firefox, the result is the same, no prompt.
This website is probably using some JS tricks for its login page and Firefox is not able to save the password. Does it work in the other browsers?

FF 17.0.1 doesn't offer to save password for this page too (bugtracker for debian):

AFAIK, that field contains the version when the bug appeared.

FF should at least post a message with explanation if the password can't be remembered for any reason.

There is no form submission as the site is using a click handler on the submit button instead of using a submit event listener and calling preventDefault on that event.

Brian, this is pretty easy to fix on khanacademy's end. Would you mind filing this issue internally? (It seems like the login page isn't open-source AFAICT)

This seems to be working for me now with the latest code (thanks to bug 1287202) in Nightly. Please re-open if it still doesn't work for you.
