The connection was refused when attempting to contact ads.web.aol.com Okay It's not a bug but a Request to change how error of that type are handled. Like many Internet users who are tired of spams, I maintain a hosts file where many ads server are set to resolve to 127.0.0.1. So in my hosts file I have for example: ads.web.aol.com 127.0.0.1 In IE this leads to a blank page embeded instead of the image saying 'The page cannot be displayed'. This doesn't bother me, and I don't see the ads. In Mozilla I hit a javascript error that bugs me anytime It couldn't serve the ads. You may argue that mozilla has a system to filter ads but this not the point. It's my decision to resolve ads.web.aol.com to 127.0.0.1 and Mozilla should serve me a blank page/image.

Sounds like #70084 which is in fact a dup of bug 28586 [RFE] Should use error page, not dialog, for inaccessible pages (placeholder)

qa to me. VERIFIED DUPE: The actual feature martin wants (better support for ad blocking) is a much larger discussion, but this request is a DUPE.
